A Winning Partnership
The work of the Tribal Water Systems Program is made possible in part by its relationship
with tribal communities and sponsoring agencies, locally and nationally. Funding and
technical assistance for the Tribal Water Systems is provided by the Department of
Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of Community Services and the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX. Funding, technical and training assistance
is also provided by the Phoenix Area Office of the Indian Health Service (IHS).

EPA and ITCA Tribal Drinking Water Capacity Clearinghouse
EPA's Region 9 Tribal Council of Arizona (ITCA) are partnering through a Cooperative Agreement to develop a new funding program, the Drinking Water Capacity Clearinghouse, to advance tribal capacity in drinking water system management and operation. The Program fits well with ITCA's and EPA's mission of assistance to tribes and the common goals we all have for delivery of clean and safe water. read more
