PURPOSE:
To assist Tribes in Arizona to identify the existence and status of tribal traffic safety initiatives being conducted on Indian reservations.
OBJECTIVES:
- Identify, describe and inventory the tribal traffic safety initiatives being conducted on Indian reservation in Arizona.
- Identify who is collecting traffic safety data and what traffic data being collected pertains to American Indians in Arizona.
- Design information gathering tools to assist in refining the information compiled on traffic safety initiatives and data.
- Compile the information into an electronic file.
- Identify tribal interest to pursue traffic safety resources.
- Facilitate a meeting of tribal, state and federal traffic safety representatives.
